Values Identification: Determining Your Anchor Points
Values Identification: Determining Your Anchor Points
A PDF downloadable that walks you through a series of steps to identify your primary values or anchor points that become the basis for your goals, actions and dreams.
Our values begin as externally motivated and enforced views of the world. This can be helpful in establishing a connection with and awareness of the world but can become a primary activator of shame when we get lost in focusing on what is important to and for others over our own beliefs, wants and needs.
This worksheet will allow you to shift into thinking about what is important to you and more specifically, what this looks like in your daily life. You will narrow down a list of 5 focal values to root into and then clarify what you need to lean into and live in these values in a balanced and purposeful way.
Note: This is a selection of the full 10-page handout.

As a therapist, my goal is to make the concepts, tools and ideas shared and discussed in therapy more accessible for people in and outside of the therapy room so I want to do what I can to help get these tools into the hands of the people that need and want them.
