It is time we make self-care non-negotiable. We need to consider ourselves in our daily equations and investments of time, money and energy. Interestingly, the longest and most important relationship in our lives is with ourselves. Yet, we put the label "luxury" next to the idea of taking time for our well-being. And the more we feed into that belief, the higher likelihood we will face burnout, lower self-esteem or even put our mental and physical health at risk. Join mental health therapist, Kyira Wackett, for a four-week course designed to help you understand the importance of self-love. Together, we'll break down what self-care looks and feels like, how to love yourself and create a foundation to deepen your love for yourself today and tomorrow.
Monday, February 1: Self-Love: Understanding What it Is & What Gets in the Way
In this first session, we will define self-love and self-care, break down the major hurdles that could make these concepts a challenge, and discuss how we can commit to a self-love goal to lead you to the life you have longed to live.
Monday, February 8: Loving What Was, Forgiving Yourself & Letting Go
In this session, we will address our personal doubts and make space to discover how we built our narratives to deny us the opportunity to really love ourselves. We will discuss the role of forgiveness, for ourselves and others, to make peace with our past and allow us to shift the way we engage with our lives now.
Monday, February 15: Loving What Is & Making Space to Heal
This session will focus on the reflection and self-exploration aspects of the self-love journey. By clarifying who we indeed are, what is important and where we want our lives to go, we can let go of our performance selves and show up wholly and entirely to our lives. These shifts will create a ripple effect in our relationship with ourselves and others, allowing us to move into the driver's seat of our own lives.
Monday, February 22: Loving What Will Be & Manifesting a Life You are Excited About
In this last session, we will discuss a revision of our storyline, focusing on rewriting definitions of success and worthiness and envisioning the life we want. We'll also move through a practice of anchoring ourselves inward so that we can lessen the blow of life's hardships. We will create rituals and routines to build more space for celebration and connection to ourselves and prepare for potential barriers before they present themselves.
