Forgiveness; Continuing Ed.

While a moral virtue and required of all of us, forgiveness is an incredibly complex process that is commonly misunderstood. In this training, we will not only explore the meaning of forgiveness, we will also work with models, tools, and strategies to create a safe and more forgiving environment for our clients and more self-compassion for ourselves as clinicians.

This workshop is designed for mental health practitioners working directly with clients. This may include professional counselors, therapists, social workers, and case managers, etc.

Continuing Education: 0.6 CEUs/6 CEHs.

  • Name and explain the four phases of forgiveness and identify at least one tool of intervention

  • Uncover the role of self-forgiveness in client healing

  • Identify your own shame narratives that may impede your ability to receive and/or give forgiveness to clients, self, and others
