Research estimates that 3 of 4 people in the United States have body image issues and in 2015 alone, approximately $60 billion was spent on diet and weight loss products. Food is meant to be used as healthy nourishment for our body’s survival, a form of entertainment, celebration or form of social engagement with others, and for some food is considered a hobby, career, or form of artwork. Instead, for many, food has become a "bad habit" or a worrisome chore.
Come together for this community building event, while we engage in meaningful conversation around the dinner table. We hope to challenge the negative relationship between our socialized norms and behaviors around food and body image. BONUS! Interactive activity to keep this conversation going even after the night is over.
