It's time. Let it go.
What is an emotion you are holding on to that no longer serves you?
Are you holding anger towards someone for what they did or didn’t do?
Are you holding judgment towards yourself for not doing enough?
Are you feeling shame about where your life is versus where you thought it should be?
Are you feeling resentful about how someone reacted to something you shared?
Too often, we get stuck in these spaces and places. We hold on to painful experiences and emotions because they give us a sense of power and “keep us in line”. But all we are doing by staying in these emotions is getting stuck in our past and eroding our chance of engagement in the present.
The reality is people will hurt you. People will screw up and let you down. And so will you.
The human experience is not about chasing perfection but about being curious about the process of growth and change.
We cannot control that these experiences happened. We can control what we do with them moving forward. Staying tethered to this pain will not allow you or anyone else to grow. Instead, it will keep you stuck in that chapter of your past.
